SET TACPLUS AUTHMODE (SEC)
Syntax
SET TACPLUS AUTHMODE={ LOGIN | COMMAND }
Description Used to change the authentication mode for use with RADIUS servers. When the
TACACS+ authentication mode is set to LOGIN, the user will be logged in with the priv-
ilege level assigned by the TACACS+ server.
Options The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with
this command and a default value (if applicable).

Option Description Default Value
AUTHMODE The SET TACPLUS AUTHMODE command is used to
change the authentication mode for use with TACPLUS
servers.
When the TACACS+ authentication mode is set to
LOGIN or COMMAND, the USER privilege level is
requested by the client and either accepted or rejected
by the server. The user is always logged in at the USER
privilege level and must run the ENABLE {MAN-
AGER|SECURITYOFFICER} command to request
increased privilege.
