5 Maintenance
5.1 Routine Maintenance
5.1.1 Daily Maintenance
1) Clean excess dirt and dust off machine. Ensure no foreign objects could interfere with wheels,
bearings, or pinion/drive rack.
2) Wipe off beam guiding surfaces and rails.
3) Ensure rack is clean and free from dirt buildup. Use a wire brush to clean. Do not lubricate.
4) Check cables for free movement. Cables must not be pinched, chaffed, twisted, bound or
stretched.
5) Use the Up/Down buttons to check for proper movement of station lift.
6) Remove dust and slag build-up from cutting torch.
7) Verify vertical alignment of cutting torch.
8) Check all air and gas supply regulators for the proper setting with the air or gas flowing
through the system.
9) Check for proper operation of e-stop button and drive engage switch.
10) Visually inspect condition of torch consumables for wear and cutting deposits (slag). Replace
as needed.
11) Check for frayed/worn hose and cables over entire machine.
12) Turn off power and close all gas valves, unscrew PA screws on regulators when finished.
5.1.2 Weekly Maintenance
1) Check torch mount and lifter to ensure all connections are tight.
2) Clean entire machine carefully and lubricate where necessary
3) Carefully inspect all hoses and hose connections for damage or looseness on all equipment.
Immediately replace those showing damages.
4) Check all control panel functions and lights.
5) Clean all machine axis rail surfaces.
6) Use manual jog mode to check if machine and lifter motion are smooth and steady.
7) Inspect all wire, cables, and connections to the machine and cross beam.
8) Clean filters in the compressed air system. Remove any accumulated water in filter bowls.
