3.6 Switching Between Metric and Inch
The machine is set to “Metric” mode when delivered. If “Inch” mode is desired, follow this procedure:
1) From the Main Menu, press 【F4】to select SETUP. See section 4.25 for detailed information on
the SETUP mode.
2) In the SETUP menu, press the【F1】key to enter the SPEED parameter page.
3) Change the Speed parameters to appropriate values for Inch measurement system. Below are
recommended values:
Recommended SPEED parameters for Inch measurement system:
START SPEED 20
CORNER ACCEL 0.15
MAX JOG SPEED 120
MAX MACHINING SPEED 120
RETURN HOME SPEED 100
FORWARD/REVERSE SPEED 60
SMALL HOLE RADIUS .5
SMALL HOLE SPEED 30
CORNER RADIUS 0.05
4) Press 【F7】to SAVE the changes to the SPEED parameters.
5) Press 【F5】to enter the CONTROL parameter page.
6) Change the Metric / Inch parameter to 1 for “Inch” mode, 0 for “Metric” mode.
7) Press 【F7】to SAVE the changes to the CONTROL parameters.
