5.5 Software Service Instructions
5.5.1 Boot Menu
The Boot Menu provides 3 options that may be useful for servicing the machine. The Boot Menu is
activated from the Home Screen. Press the 【ESC】 key, repeatedly if necessary, to return to the
Home Screen.
Press these keys one after the other: 【G】【G】【3】
The Boot Menu will appear, as shown below:

Three options are available:
1) ERASE MEMORY
Selecting this option will re-format the program storage memory area. This will delete all programs in
memory. This option should be used if a program becomes corrupt and cannot be deleted from
memory by the normal procedure.
2) FACTORY RESET
This option will restore all parameter settings to their factory original settings. Use this option if
someone mistakenly changed a parameter that has adversely affected machine operation, and normal
functioning of the machine cannot otherwise be restored.
3) ALTERNATE LANGUAGE
This option will hold the name of the alternate language that has been pre-loaded in the control. The
control can be pre-loaded with two languages. For North America, those languages will be English and
Spanish. Selecting this option will switch between the two.
