Backing Sequence operating mode
How to delete a whole Song
selectingaPerformanceautomaticallyselectstheStylemem
orizedintothePerformance.
The SINGLE TOUCH and STS buttons are au
tomatically
disabled,meaningthatyoucan’tchangetheRealtime(Key
board)tracks
whileinChord/AccStepMode.

press DELETE to delete the Performance

Note: If the side arrow doesn’t appear, the

WhenthePerfparameterisselected,press
SHIFT + DELETE to del
ete all Perfor
mance Change events, starting from
the
currentpositiontotheendoftheSong.To
deleteallPerformanceChangeeventsin
theSong,gobacktotheM001.01.000posi
tion,andpressSH
IFT+DELETE.
Note: All events on the ve
ry first tick
(M001.01.000), like Perf
, Style, Tempo,
Chord, Style Element selection, cannot be
deleted.
SE (Style Element)
ThisistheStyleElement(i.e.,aVariation,Fill,Intro,or
Ending). The length of the selected Style Element is
alwaysshownonthemeasurecounter,atthetopofthe
display:
This will let you know where to place the foll
owing
StyleElementChange.Forexample,ifyouinsertedan
Intro event lasting for 4 measures, you can insert 4
empty measureafter this event, and a Variation event
attheendoftheIntro,beginningatthe4themptymea
sure.
“Off means tha
t the accompaniment will not play at
the sel
ected position only the Realtime tracks will
play.
Hint: Insert a Style Element Off event exactly where the
autoaccompanim
entmuststop,attheendoftheSong.
Chord
Use the D VOLUME/VALUE buttons to select the
Chordline.UsetheF1–F4buttonstoselectthepartof
thechordyouwishtoedit.
Use the TEMPO/VALUE controls to modify the
sele
cted parameter. You can also play a chord, and it
willbe automatically recognized. While recognizing a
chord,the statusofthe BASSINV.buttonwillbecon
sidered.
“No chord” means that the accompaniment will not
play at the current position (apart for the Drum and
Pe
rcussion tracks). To select the “No chord” option,
pressF1toselecttheNamepartoftheChord,thenuse
theTEMPO/VALUEsectiontoselecttheverylastvalue
(C…B,Off).
Note: If you r
eplace a chord with a different one, pl ease
re
member that the Lower track will not be automatically
changed.
Transport controls
WhileinStepMode,youcanusevariouscontrolpanel
buttonstoaccomplishtheeditingprocedure.
<< or >> (Rewind or Fast Forward)
Usethesebuttonstomovetothepreviousorfollowing
measure. These commands are effective even if the
M(easure)parameterisnotselected.
< or > (Previous or Next Step)
Usethesebuttontogotothepreviousornextstep(1/8,
or192ticks) .Ifan eventislocatedbeforetheprevious
ornextstep,thelocatorstopsonthatevent.Forexam
ple,ifyo
uarepositionedonM001.01.000,andnoev
ent
exists before M001.01.192, the > button moves to the
M001.01.192location.IfaneventexistsonM001 .01.010,
the>buttonstopstotheM001.01.0 10location.
These commands are effective even if the M(easure)
parameterisnotselected.

KeeptheSHIFTbuttonpressedwhilepressingthe<or
> button, to move to the previous or next recorded
event.
HOW TO DELETE A WHOLE SONG
Youcan deleteawhole Songwiththe simpleSHIFT +
DELETEbuttonsequence.
1. EntertheBackingSequ
encemode.Youmustbein
the main page of the mode. If you are in Record
mode,gobacktothePlaybackmode.
2. PressSHIFT+DELETE.
3. The “Delete Song?” message appears. Pres
s
ENTERtoconfirm,
EXITtoabort.
