Commands
The commands are a series of ASCII
characters with an alpha command
and one or two numeric operands
followed by a carriage return, ASCII
13. The commands may be spelled
out though only the first character is
significant. i.e. READ 123 may be
abbreviated to R123. Every
command has a response to
acknowledge that it was received
correctly and to provide data
requested. For high reliability
systems there is an error-checking
protocol that will ensure proper
command data transferal. See “Error
Checking Protocol”.
