1 Turn the power off, manually spin the fan, and check
that it rotates freely.
Does the fan rotate freely?
Go to step 2 Replace the fuser

Check the fuser fan cable connection to the system
board JM1 for correct installation.
Is the cable installed correctly?
Go to step 3 Install the cable
correctly.

Disconnect the fuser fan from JM1 on the system
board, and check the voltages on JM1.
Are the voltages correct?
Replace the fuser
fan. See “Fuser
fan removal” on
page 4-47.
Replace the
system board.
