Second transfer roll service check
Note: The second transfer roll is 51.03 mm (2.009 inches) in circumference. Any print quality problems such as
lines that are spaced apart indicate you should check the second transfer roll for damage, toner, or foreign
material.
Note: The second transfer roll is also part of the maintenance kit and should be replaced when 83 ITU
Maintenance appears. Ask the customer if they have replaced the second transfer roll recently.
Note: If any of the following problems occur, go to “Print quality service check” on page 2-95:
• A problem with only one color
• Light or very light print
Blank pages The print cartridges are
defective or empty.
Replace the print cartridges.
Solid color pages • The print cartridges are
defective.
• Your printer requires
servicing.
• Replace the print cartridges.
•Call for service.
The paper curls badly
once it prints and exits to
a bin.
• The Type, Texture, and
Weight settings are not
appropriate for the type
of paper or specialty
media you are using.
• The paper has been
stored in a high
humidity environment.
• Change Paper Type, Paper Texture, and Paper
Weight to match the paper or specialty media
loaded in the printer.
• Load paper from a fresh package.
• Store paper in its original wrapper until you
use it.
