2.Wipetheinsideoftheaircleanerhousingwithaclean,
dampcloth.Besuretocleanthegasketsealingsurface.
Besuretowipeoutanydustthathasfallenintotheport
totheturbocharger.DONOTusecompressedairfor
thiscleaning.
3.Visuallyinspecttheaircleanerhousingfordamageor
distortion,whichcouldallowunlteredairtoenterthe
engine.Inspecttobesurethattherubberdustunloader
valveatbottomofhousingisinplace,freeofdebris,and
notcracked.
4.Inspectthenewairlterelementforadamagedor
nonresilientrubbergasket.Inspecttheairlterelement
bodyfordentsorexcessivepleatbunching.Ifanyof
thementionedconditionsexist,obtainandinstallan
alternatenewairlterelementfromyourInternational
dealer.
5.Carefullyinstallthenewairlterelementintotheair
cleanerhousing.
6.Withtheaircleanercoverlatchatthe1o’clockposition,
aligncovertabswithcorrespondingslots.Pushthe
coverintotheslots.Rotatethecoverclockwise(in
directionoflockoncover)untilthelockingtabsnaps
intoitslockedposition.
7.Whenservicingiscompleted,resetairrestrictiongauge
bypushingandholdingtheresetbuttonandreleasingit.
TheYELLOWindicatorwilldropbelowthewindow.The
airrestrictiongaugeisnowreadyforthenextoperating
cycle.
NOTE:Afterstartingengine,theindicatormaybeseenin
thelowerpartofthewindow.Thisisnormalandshouldnot
bemistakenasasignalforelementservice.
