Stopping a collection
You can stop a data collection before the data set’s run is expired.
To stop a collection:
³ Select
Experiment > Stop Collection or click .
The current run is stopped.
Analyzing data
Analyzing data in the Vernier DataQuest™ application is done from the
Graph View. Start by setting up graphs and then use analysis tools such as
integral, statistics, and curve fit to investigate the mathematical nature
of your data.
This section includes:
• Examining data points
–Interpolate
– Tangent
– Examine Settings
• Data analysis calculations
–Integral
– Statistics
– Curve Fit

Important: The Graph menu and Analyze menu items are only available
when working in Graph View.
Examining data points
The following provides information about the methods available for
examining data points in the Vernier DataQuest™ application.
Interpolate
Use Interpolate to estimate the value between two data points and to
determine the value of a Curve Fit between and beyond data points.
