3. Wait for the Touchscreen hardware to turn off and no longer be illuminated.
4. Wait at least 1 full minute before continuing. This is important to allow the Analyzer to
properly power down.
5. Turn the Rotary Power Switch (CW) to the vertical ON position to initiate power within
the Analyzer and begin the system initialization process.
6. Wait for the system initialization to complete.
7. If the Machine PIN feature is enabled, the Locked Icon
will appear in the bottom
left corner of the Touchscreen.
NOTE: For more information, see “Machine PIN” on page 157.
8. Press the Locked Icon to open the PIN Input dialog. Input the Machine PIN and
unlock the Analyzer. For more information, see “To Unlock the Analyzer Touchscreen”
on page 104.
Recommended Operational State
To assure optimal performance across the operating range, ensure the Analyzer remains
powered ON when not in use. This allows the measurement components and other
subsystems to maintain equilibrium with the ambient environment. If the Analyzer cannot
be left powered on between uses, allow the Analyzer to re-equilibrate for at least 2 hours
prior to beginning analysis. Failure to do so may compromise the Analyzer's initial results,
including a decrease in accuracy, an increased likelihood of obtaining incorrect
measurement values, or an increase in the standard deviation values.
