CLEANING THE ANALYZER
It is highly recommended to clean the Analyzer exterior as part of regular maintenance.
Pre-NDIR Membrane Filter
(HS4)
This Filter is installed prior to the NDIR Detector. This
Filter is only accessible by a Sievers Service Technician.
Sample Pump Tubing (GP1) The Predictive Maintenance gauge displays this as
“Pump Tubing”.
This refers to the flexible tubing housed with in the
Sample Pump (GP1).
Check: Inspect the pump tubing each time maintenance
is being performed. Replace, if needed.
Replace: When prompted, replace the Sample Pump
Tubing. After replacing, ensure that the consumable has
been marked as “Reset” in the firmware. See “Pump
Tubing (GP1)” on page 193
Reagent: Acid Type: Based on Sample Considerations and Analytical
Method. See “Acid Preparation” on page 175
.
Check: Inspect the Acid Carboy regularly. Ensure the
carboy contains a sufficient amount of acid.
Usage: Based on Analytical Method and measurement
frequency.
Refill: As needed. See “Reagent — Acid” on page 194
.
Soda Lime
(If using Air Scrubber)
This refers to the Soda Lime and Activated Carbon inside
the Air Scrubber option. Sievers highly recommends
using Soda Lime with indicator.
Check: Inspect the Air Scrubber often. If using Soda Lime
with indicator, the Soda Lime granules will change color
over time and indicate that maintenance will be required
soon.
Replace: When prompted, replace the Soda Lime
granules and Activated Carbon granules inside the Air
Scrubber Housing. See “Soda Lime and Activated Carbon
(Air Scrubber)” on page 195. After replacing,
Acknowledge any “E3” alerts that may have been
triggered related to this consumable, if needed.
If not using the Air Scrubber, the “Soda Lime”
Predictive Maintenance gauge will still be useful for
monitoring the NDIR baseline to provide warnings in
the event that the baseline goes outside the expected
limit.
