• Method — select the desired carbon species and TNb analysis if configured for
each stream.
• Acid Volume — controls the volume of acid injected during the sample
preparation sequence. Select from 0-1000 µL for NPOC and 0-3000 µL for TIC.
All have increments of 200 µL.
► This setting is Non-Calibration Dependent.
• Purging Time — adjust the time the carrier gas is allowed to purge through the
sample during preparation in seconds. For NPOC, 60-90s is recommended.
► This setting is Non-Calibration Dependent.
• Switch to TC — quickly change from NPOC to TC. Acid Volume and Purging
Time do not apply while using TC Method.
• Dilution Volume — select the Dilution Volume from 0 mL to 10 mL in 2 mL
increments.
► This setting is Calibration Dependent.
► Important! Calibration must be performed after changing Dilution Volume
setting.
► The height of the MFSV Capillary Tube inside the MFSV may need to be
adjusted to achieve the desired dilution. Sievers recommends adjusting
the MFSV Capillary Tube to its lowest position when utilizing the dilution
feature.
• Erase Memory Effect — when this setting is On, the MFSV is filled and
evacuated two times with fresh sample prior to returning to normal sample
preparation for analysis. Adds approximately 15 seconds to sample handling time.
When enabled, this will run after every Repetition.
