DATA INPUTS/OUTPUTS FROM THE ANALYZER
Using the USB Port
The Analyzer comes with one USB Port inside the enclosure below the Touchscreen
hardware. This internal port allows for the use of a USB memory device as well as a
wireless (or cabled) mouse, if desired.
Once a USB memory device is installed, the Analyzer will automatically detect the new
device and display a “U” Icon and an “S” Icon on the left Information Panel. The “U”
stands for “Unmount”. The “S” stands for “Screenshot”. For more information, see “To
Take a “Screenshot”” on page 106.
Once you are done using the USB memory device, select the “U” to safely dismount the
USB memory device from the Analyzer. Do not remove the USB memory device without
using the “Unmount” function. For more information, see “To “Unmount” the USB Memory
Device” on page 107.
A USB memory device is also required required to download data, perform system
backups and update firmware. For more information, see “Backing up the Analyzer
Settings” on page 184. For more information, see “Update the Analyzer” on page 216.
The Analyzer’s USB Port is not designed for Ethernet connectivity (using an Ethernet to
USB adapter). For more information, see “Using the Ethernet Port” on page 107.
