Sievers TOC-R3 Operation and Maintenance Manual
DLM 95000-01 EN Rev. A 130 © Veolia 2023
Repetitions — number of replicates performed during the Check Function.
Sievers recommends running 5 Repetitions and 2 Outliers for Check Function. At
a minimum, Sievers recommends running 4 Repetitions and 1 Outlier.
Exclude Outlier turning this setting “On excludes a data point if it deviates
from the percent difference set in the Check Function maximum deviation setting.
This should only be used with 3 repetitions. It is not statistically valid with less than
three.
Max. Deviation — qualifier for outlier exclusion as percent difference. For Check
Function, this is 5%.
Max. Outlier — configure the maximum number of outliers that can be rejected
from the Check Function average.
Allowed Deviation from Target — set the allowable percent difference between
analysis results and target value. Industry standard is ~10% but this value is User-
defined.
Important! This setting determines the limit at which a Warning will be
displayed based on the results of the Check Function analysis. For
instructions for configuring Relays (Binary Outputs) for this setting are
found in “Relay” on page 143
.
Rinsing
Use this screen to perform a manual rinse or configure settings to automatically rinse;
either the MFSV Tube or the Furnace. Deionized water from the Dilution/Rinse Carboy is
used to “rinse” the system.
During a “Rinse Tube”, the Sample Inlet Tubing, Sample Manifold, and MFSV are
all filled and evacuated with DI water multiple times.
During a “Rinse Reactor”, the Sample Inlet Tubing, Sample Manifold, and MFSV
are all filled and evacuated with DI water multiple times. In addition, DI water is
then pulled through the sample injection loop to rinse the Injection Block and
associated tubing. Finally the User can select the number of Injections of DI water
used to clean the Injection Needle and Furnace Cartridge.
The “Auto Rinse Reactor” feature is considered a Critical Feature for increased
Analyzer Uptime.
Important! Only one “Rinse” may be performed at a time.
NOTE: To manually rinse the Reactor (Furnace) or MFSV Tube, the Analyzer
must be in Offline mode.
