Periodically inspect the MFSV Vent Absorber Cartridge. Replace the Cartridge if more
than
⅔ of the internal Soda Lime granules have changed to an indigo/purple color. This
cartridge is located in the bottom of the Fluidics Compartment to the left of the Gas Cooler
Unit.
Carefully remove the top and bottom tubing connections and replace with a new
Cartridge. Ensure the new Cartridge is installed correctly to flow OUT to atmosphere, as
shown in Figure 6-5 on page 191
. Important! The atmosphere end of the MFSV Vent
Absorber Cartridge tubing will be resting inside the Analyzer enclosure.

Prepare the Analyzer for maintenance. For more information, see “Quick Maintenance
Procedures” on page 185.
If this filter is clogged, it will be seen as low “Carrier Gas Flow Out” and high “Pressure
Reactor” Sensor readings on the Sensors screen (Menu → Service → Sensors). This
reading will indicate a blockage.
Replace the Disk Filter (HS3) if clogged or when required for maintenance schedule.
Carefully remove the top and bottom tubing connections and replace with a new Filter
Cartridge. Ensure the “INLET” side of the filter is facing toward the bottom of the
Analyzer. The direction of flow is flowing “UP” into the Electronics compartment (to the
NDIR Detector). See Figure 6-6 on page 192
.
