Scrubber Housing slots vertically into the Mounting Brackets with the Inlet and Outlet
ports on top. The Carrier Gas tubing connections will be completed in the next step.
NOTE: The Air Scrubber Mounting Bracket may arrive with a bracket clamp
attached. Remove the clamp and install the Bracket Base. The bracket clamp
may not fit when the Air Scrubber is mounted.
Prepare the Air Scrubber Housing
1. Open the bottom knurled cap (without tubing ports) to reveal the inside of the Air
Scrubber Housing. The central tube comes pre-installed with an Activated Carbon
Filter Cartridge.

2. Remove the top Filter Ring. Important! There are two Filter Rings inside the Air
Scrubber Housing, they may be stuck together. Leave the lower ring and remove top
Filter Ring. The Soda Lime granules will be installed in between these Filter Rings in
the next step.
3. Carefully fill the outer, larger tube with Soda Lime granules. Do not over-fill or
compact the granules.
4. Reinstall the Filter Ring to seal the outer tube and contain the Soda Lime granules.
5. Carefully replace the knurled cap to be finger-tight.
6. Slot the prepared Air Scrubber Housing into the mounting brackets so that the Inlet
and Outlet ports are oriented on top of the Housing.
Warning
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and SDS guidelines for
preparation, handling, and disposal of all standards, reagents, and
consumables.
8. The Activated Carbon Filter Cartridge is only intended for initial installation configuration.
When performing maintenance later, it will be replaced with Activated Carbon loose
granules (User provided) instead of a cartridge.
