SET AUTHENTICATION INTERFACE
Syntax
SET AUTHENTICATION INTERFACE={type:id-range|id-range| ifname-
list|ALL} [PORTCONTROL={AUTO|AUTHORIZED|UNAUTHORIZED}] [REAUTHEN-
ABLED={ON|OFF}] [REAUTHPERIOD={1..2147483647}] [QUIETPE-
RIOD=1..65535] [SERVERTIMEOUT=1..65535]
[SUPPLICANTTIMEOUT=1..65535]
Description This commands sets various configurable Port Authentication settings for the interface.
Note that when one or of these parameters are set back to defaults on an interface,
authorizattion on the interface will drop, and any supplicants on the interface must re-
authenticate.
Options The following table gives the range of values for each option that can be specified with
this command and a default value (if applicable).

INTERFACE The ethernet interface over which the Port Authentica-
tion settings will be changed
PORTCON-
TROL
The authorization state of the port
AUTO - Allow a port client to negotiate authentication.
This allows authentication to occur on the interface.
AUTHORIZED - The port is always in an authorized
state; authorization always succeeds.
UNAUTHORIZED - The port is always in an unautho-
rized state; authorization always fails.
REAUTHEN-
ABLED
If set to ON, the reauthentication timer (REAUTHPE-
RIOD) is activated.
REAUTHPE-
RIOD
The number of seconds that elapse before the suppli-
cant is asked to reauthenticate
QUIETPE-
RIOD
The number of seconds, after a failed authentication,
that must elapse before another request can occur
SERVERTIME-
OUT
The number of seconds to wait for a response from a
RADIUS server before a time-out is declared.
SUPPLI-
CANTTIME-
OUT
The number of seconds to wait for a response from a
supplicant before a time-out is declared.
