Introduction
This section applies to SpO
2
modules upgraded with v9.33 software.
This section of the user manual provides SpO
2
module (models 8210 and 8220) instructions and
information. It is used in conjunction with:

The SpO
2
modules are indicated for continuous, noninvasive monitoring of functional oxygen saturation of
arterial hemoglobin (SpO
2
) and pulse rate measured by a SpO
2
sensor. The SpO
2
modules and accessories
are indicated for use with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, and for patients who are well or poorly
perfused in hospitals and hospital type facilities. The model 8220 SpO
2
module is also indicated for use
during motion and no motion conditions. Clinical functions will only be provided to one SpO
2
module at a
time.
Please consult the facility's best practices guidelines on the preferred
alarm settings for the monitoring of
patients that are not continuously attended by a clinician.
The majority of user interface programming
is identical for both SpO
2
modules. If a procedure/information
applies to a specific module, the following identifiers indicate the applicable model.
