Manually Programming — Primary Infusion
The following procedures are to be used only when the drug to be infused is listed in the drug library. To
access the drug library, a hospital-defined best practice data set must be transferred to the system and the
profile feature must be enabled.
1. Perform the following steps (see General Setup and Operation on pa
ge 165, and System Start Up/
Setup on page 165 for more information):
a.
Power on system.
b. Choose
Yes or No to New Patient?
c. Confirm current profile or select a new profile.
d. Enter patient identifier, if required.
2. Prepare and load syringe/administration set (see Getting started
on
page 62).
