Removing the defective 8x 2.5-inch HDD backplane

If applicable, remove the SAS expander board holder
, see "Removing the
SAS expander board holder" on page 208.
▶
If applicable, remove the internal RAID riser module, see "Removing an
internal RAID riser module" on page 303.
▶
Disconnect all cables from the HDD backplane.

Release the screw (see circle).
▶
Pull the HDD backplane upward until the two hooks disengage (see orange
circles).
▶
T
ake out the HDD backplane.
