Installing the HDD backplane

If applicable, install the HDD backplane on the 4x 3.5-inch HDD extension
box, see "Installing the new HDD backplane" on page 288
.

Using a screw driver, bend the mounting brackets of the top and middle
installation bays (bay 1 and bay 2) inwards (see close-up):

Bend in the four mounting brackets on each side of the drive cage.
▶
Open the accessible drive locking bar, see "Opening the accessible drive
locking bar" on page 96.
