4.7 Battery Backup
The Xen Master system has two battery backup functions: one for
system backup and one for memory backup.
4.7.1 System Backup
The system operation is backed up by rechargeable
batteries in the event that the mains power fails. Two levels
of backup are provided.
1. Internal Batteries: These comes as standard with the
B64-U13 KSU, E64-U13 KSU and B48-U13 KSU and
will support all of the system functions for
approximately 30 minutes.
2. External Batteries: These are optional and mount into
the External Battery Box. These batteries will support
all of the system functions for approximately 2 hours.
# External devices connected to the Xen System that
require an AC Adapter to operate will cease to func-
tion during a mains power failure unless they are con-
nected to their own backup power source.
