Yield Parts Replacement Procedure
The parts mentioned in the table have a target yield. However, the total copy/print volume made by the
machine will not reach the target yield within the machine’s targeted lifetime if the machine is used
under the target usage conditions (ACV, color ratio, P/J, and C/O). So, these parts are not categorized
as PM parts but as yield parts (EM parts).
1. Enter the SP mode.
2. Output the SMC logging data with SP5-990-004.
3. Set the SP corresponding to the part to be replaced to "1".
*1 Only for IM 550F/600F/600SRF
Make sure you set the SP to "1" before you replace the part. If you set it to "1" after replacing the
part, the counter for the previous unit will not be stored.
4. Exit the SP mode.
5. Turn OFF the main power.
6. Replace the yield parts and turn ON the main power.
The machine will reset the PM counter.
After installing the new yield parts
1. Turn ON the main power.
2. Output the SMC logging data with SP5-990-004 and check the counter value.
3. Check the corresponding SP to make sure that the PM counter is "0".
