Drum Unit
Drum
The drum section consists of the drum, the charge roller unit, and the cleaning unit. The drum surface is
uniformly charged in preparation for formation of the residual image by the laser beam.
After the transfer is complete, the toner remaining on the drum surface is removed with the cleaning
blade and is sent to the waste toner bottle with the drum coil. The quenching lamp consists of LEDs and
removes residual charge on the drum before main charging for the next image.
