Sustain
Select this mode to use the touch strip as you would a sustain pedal on a typical keyboard to enable or disable note
sustain. When enabled, notes will continue sounding until sustain is disabled.
Expression
Select this mode to use the touch strip as you would an external expression pedal to control the MIDI CC11
expression control.
Q-Link
Select this mode to use the touch strip as a Q-Link control as found on other MPC hardware.
To configure the Q-Link settings, press and hold Shift and press the Touch Strip button to open the Touch Strip
Q-Link window in the software.
Q-Link: Use this field to select which Q-Link is controlled by the touch strip (1–16). You can also press one of the
16 pads to select that Q-Link while the Touch Strip Q-Link window is open in the software.
Pad Level
Select this mode to use the touch strip to control the current Pad Level.
Program Level
Select this mode to use the touch strip to control the current Program Level.
Project
Select this mode to assign a project parameter to the touch strip control.
To configure the Project settings, press and hold Shift and press the Touch Strip button to open the Touch Strip
Project Mode Config window in the software.
Source: Use this field to select the location of the project parameter: MIDI Track, Audio Track, Program (and
Pad), Return, Submix or Main (Output).
Parameter: Use this field to select a project parameter to control with the touch strip. The available parameters
depend on the type of Source selected.
When the MIDI Track source is selected:
Off
Mixer: Volume, Pan, Mute, Solo
When the Audio Track source is selected:
Off
Mixer: Volume, Pan, Mute, Solo, Send 1–4
Insert 1–4: Other available parameters depending on the effect
When the Program source is selected, and a Program is selected:
Off
Mixer: Volume, Pan, Mute, Solo, Send 1–4
Program: Global Semi Tune, Global Fine Tune
Insert 1–4: Other available parameters depending on the effect
