At each retransmission the

Project Parameters
Consist retain and persis-
tent area in%Q
Configuration to consist of
addressable persistent and
retentive memories.
unmarked
- Checked: Consists of ad-
dressable persistent and re-
tentive memories
- Unchecked: Does not con-
sist of addressable persistent
and retentive memories.
Enable I/O update per task
Setting to update inputs and
outputs in the tasks in which
they are used.

- Checked: Inputs and out-
puts are updated by the tasks
in which they are used.
- Unchecked: Inputs and
outputs are only updated by
MainTask

tent variables in Function
Blocks
Setting that allows the use of
retentive and persistent vari-
ables in Function Blocks

Notes:
Generate error on tasks watchdog consistency: This parameter was discontinued as of MasterTool IEC XE version 1.32.
Enable I/O update per task: This parameter was added as of MasterTool IEC XE version 2.01.
Consist retain and persistent area in %Q: If the user application declare retain or persistent variables mapped at %Q
addresses out of the areas configured, those variables will not persist after power down, reset warm or download. With
this parameter marked, MasterTool will check the code and generate error at compile time for this situation. It’s strongly
recommended to keep this parameter marked.
