Using the Equipment
3.18.4.6.6 IP Output Status
Figure 3.163 Output Tab > IP Output Status Section
• TS Tx Status – Displays the status of the output Transport Stream transmission.
• Redundancy Status – Displays the current redundancy status of the IP Card.
• RIP Active Path – The current routed path of the IP routing.
• Swap RIP Metrics – Checking this box enables the Routing Information
Protocol (RIP) function.
3.18.4.6.7 MGP (Multimedia Guarding Protocol) Parameters
Figure 3.164 Output Tab > MGP Parameters Section
• MSM IP – The destination IP address of the MSM (Multimedia Status Message)
packets. This is usually a multicast address as MSMs are meant to be sent to all
devices in the same redundancy group.
• MSM Dst Port – The destination UDP port of the MSM packets.
• MSM Src Port – The source UDP port of the outgoing MSM packets. Also this is
the port on which the device receives MSM packets. This is usually the same as
Dst Port.
• MSM TTL field – The Time to Live field of the MSM packets. It has to be high
enough to reach every device in the redundancy network.
• TX Interval – Enables input of the Tx Interval for MSM packets in seconds
where the range is between 1 and 200 seconds.
