B.1.1 Video Decoding and Output Stage
B.1.1.1 General
The RX8000 Integrated Receiver/Decoder is capable of decoding one PES stream
of video from the Transport Stream. The decoder supports extraction of the following
types of coded video from the Transport Stream as follows:
• MPEG-2
• MPEG-4 AVC
• JPEG-2000
• HEVC
B.1.1.2 Supported Video Resolutions
The RX8000 Integrated Receiver/Decoder supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC, JPEG-
2000, and HEVC (4:2:0 and 4:2:2).
Table B.1 below highlights the video resolutions supported the RX8000 that is
dependent on the video decoder fitted. The video decoders are abbreviated as
follows for identification in the table.
