• Video Pid – This displays the input video PID and offers the ability to modify the
value used on the output.
• Encode Bit rate – This is the bit rate used for using encoding the MPEG-2
video when not in statistical multiplexing mode.
• Output Resolution – Normally the unit would transcode the video using the
incoming resolution for the encoded output. However, it may be necessary to
create a SD output from the incoming HD video for legacy reasons. This allows
the resolution to be set.
• Downscale Mode – When converting from HD to SD you need to set the aspect
ratio conversion (ARC) to be used. This can either fixed (e.g. letterbox 16:9) or
dynamic (AFD Dynamic).
• Cease Mode – When using the ARC from the signaled AFD field in the video
you require a default setting if the AFD disappears. This control allows the
default to be set.
