Fault Symptoms What To Check Possible Causes Recommended Solutions
The system is
locked up in Manual
or Automatic mode.
Check settings of
SYSTEM parameters.
Incorrect parameter
setting.
Record the settings for
Numerator and Denominator in
the SYSTEM Parameters. Then
reset the factory parameters.
Reboot the system and then re-
enter the recorded values for
Numerator and Denominator.
Save the parameters and test
the system performance.
No input/output Check the cables
connected to the rear of
the Central Unit.
Loose connection or
broken wires.
Secure the connection or
replace cables as necessary.
Check for low or missing
24V power. Check the
voltage of 25-pin port
between Pin 24 and Pin
25.
24V Power Supply may
have failed.
Adjust or replace the 24V Power
Supply.
Check
all cable and wiring
connection inside the
Central Unit.
Loose/broken connection. Secure the connections or
replace wires if necessary.
USB disk cannot be
read
Try a different make of
USB disk.
The USB disk may not be
compatible with this CNC.
Use only compatible USB disks.
Check the file system
format on the USB disk.
The USB disk may be
formatted incorrectly. This
CNC only supports FAT or
FAT32 file systems.
Reformat the USB disk to FAT or
FAT32 format using a PC.
Check the USB port and
USB disk connector for
any
accumulation of dust or
soot.
Metallic dust may short
signals.
Clean any foreign material from
the USB port and the USB disk
connector.
Inspect condition of USB
port and USB disk
connector.
Damaged or broken
pins/contacts can disrupt
operation.
Discard and replace any
damaged USB disk. Replace
the USB port if damaged.
The system returns
to the main menu
after a program is
started.
Select a different program
and test the system.
If the other programs will
run, there is a problem
with the original program.
Check the program.
If no program will run,
there may be a problem
with the parameter
settings.
