Management Function
The server provides various functions to achieve high reliability.
System failure can be prevented or recovered in a short period of time by the linkage between
functions provided by the hardware itself such as redundancy of each resource as well as RAID
system and monitoring functions provided by software such as NEC ESMPRO included in the
server.
Reliability can be further improved by introducing various optional products such as
uninterruptible power system used for preventing the server from power failure such as a power
outage and backup device to prevent unexpected data loss.
Each function is realized by each hardware and software shown below.

Server Management
System monitoring chip is installed as standard on the system board of the server. This
system monitoring chip monitors the following each resource installed in the server. These
hardware functions and software for the server management such as NEC ESMPRO
Manager/NEC ESMPRO Agent link each other to monitor the server operation status, etc. In
case of failure, these functions report the failure to the administrator immediately.
The table in the next page shows the availability of each function on the server.
Remote operation and maintenance can be performed from the management PC when the
operating system is not running. The server can be powered on by the remote power-on
function.
NOTE ：
NEC ESMPRO Manager and NEC ESMPRO Agent are attached to
the server as standard. Refer to descriptions of each software for
the installation procedure or usage.
