Setup of Server
Setup the sever in the following procedure
1. Install the rack
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Install the rack”.
2. Install the optional units (If you bout separately)
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Installing/Removing optional parts/”.
3．Install the server in the rack
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Mounting/Unmounting the server to/from Rack”.
4．Connect peripheral devices such as display unit, keyboard, network devices to the
server.
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Connection”.
5．Connect the power cord to the server and the PDU, then turn the AC power on.
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Power Code Connection”.
6．Configure the management LAN port on the server using the menu system of
EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor.
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “NEC EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor”.
7．Connect the LAN cable to the management LAN port.
Refer to chapter 2 “Hardware” - “Connection”.
IMPORTANT :
Do not connect the LAN cable to the management LAN port.
Connect LAN cable after the management LAN port has been
configured.
