Uninstallation
Uninstall the hard disk drive by following the procedure below. Install a Disk Dummy Tray in an
empty slot when using the server with the hard disk drive uninstalled.
1. Refer to“Preparation for Mounting/Unmounting” for preparation.
2. Unlock the hard disk and open the handle after checking the hard disk to be uninstalled
IMPORTANT:
Online replacement can be performed when RAID system is
configured (other than RAID0). Refer to 2 pages ahead for the
description.
NOTE:
Confirm that the DISK Error LED of the hard disk drive is lighting in
amber preliminarily when removing the disk due to hard disk drive
failure.
