Some features regarding the version information are supported on the Help menu.
Each entry meaning is described below.
About AVCView The KVM client version prints.
IMPORTANT:
The remote media is recognized
as the USB2.0 SCSI device(removable
media).
The virtual floppy can be written and read, but can not be formatted as low
level.
On Red Hat Enterprise Linux, to remove the virtual floppy, at first unmount
the floppy device on the operating system. Next, uncheck
on the KVM
client menu.
On Red Hat Enterprise Linux, if a user suddenly removes the floppy media
while media accessing, the I/O error will continuously occur. Reset the
Management Firmware to recover the error.
When using A1080a-D model, it is possible to use the same remote
media from two partitions simultaneously. However, if the remote
media drive is ejected from a partition, then the drive will not be used
from another partition.
For example, if Red Hat Enterprise Linux is installed on the two
partitions at the same time, the mdia drive will be ejected from a
partition which has finished the install first and the install on another
Partition may fail. To avoid this, do install on each partition separately.
IMPORTANT:
The virtual floppy can only support the 2HD(1.44MB) disk.
The use of the floppy drive is available exclusively for the console PC’s
floppy or remote media. If the PC’s drive is being used, error message
as below will be shown when user tries to use it from the KVM client
menu.
