Introduction and Specifications
Overview
The SEL-2414 Transformer Monitor provides inputs, logic, outputs, and commu-
nications as shown below for most transformer monitoring and control applica-
tions. Transformer monitoring can typically be separated into I/O, I/O plus RTDs,
I/O plus thermocouples, or I/O plus thermal model applications.
The device contains devices sensitive
to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
When working on the device with the
front panel removed, work surfaces
and personnel must be properly
grounded or equipment damage may
result.

CAUTION
Select the unit without additional input/output cards (two digital inputs and three
contact outputs) for smaller applications or add up to four additional input/output
cards to tailor the unit to specific applications.
This manual contains information necessary to install, test, operate, and maintain
any SEL-2414. It is not necessary to review the entire manual to perform specific
tasks.
