ASCII Commands
In the above example, the MAP command displays DNP3 settings for port 1,
session 1. The MAP command indicates that Map 1 is used for this session. The
mapping data at the end is similar to what would be displayed if a SHOW DNP 1
command was issued, but the MAP command provides more information.
Because this is a DNP3 LAN/WAN session, the MAP command provides IP
information along with the mapping data.
METER Command
(Metering Data)
The MET commands provide access to metering data. To make the extensive
amount of meter information manageable, the device divides the displayed infor-
mation into several groups.
➤ Analog Input
➤ RTD Temperature
➤ RTD/TC Temperature
➤ Remote Analog
➤ Math Variable
➤ Fundamental
➤ Demand
➤ Maximum/Minimum
➤ Energy
Because you can configure the SEL-2414 with different cards, display values in
response to the MET command is a function of the specific card combination.
When a card is not installed, the headings and values are hidden.
Metering data retrieval and display is described in the following subsections. See
Section 5: Metering and Monitoring for details on metering.
MET A Analog Input Metering
Use the MET A command to display values measured by one or more Analog
Input cards.
Because values for different analog inputs vary in length, the device adapts the
display format for each analog input by using the input maximum or minimum
setting (whichever has the larger magnitude) in engineering units. The display
format uses up to five digits to show the scaled maximum magnitude of the input
without using exponential notation (for example, –0.0732, 961.82, 21936, or
18493).
