Logic Functions
General Logic Functions
You can enter as many as 15 elements per SELOGIC equation, including a total of
14 elements in parenthesis (see Parentheses Operator ( ) on page 4.9 for more
information).
SV/Timers Set
The SEL-2414 includes 64 SELOGIC variables. Table 4.6 shows the default pick-
up, dropout, and equation settings for SV01. The remaining SEL
OGIC variables
have the same settings.
Timers Reset When Power Lost or Settings Changed
If the device loses power or settings change, the SELOGIC control equation vari-
ables/timers reset. Device Word bits SVn and SVnT (n = 01–64) reset to logical 0
after power restoration or a settings change. Figure 4.7 shows an effective seal-in
logic circuit, created by the use of Device Word bit SV07 (SEL
OGIC control
equation variable SV07) in SEL
OGIC control equation SV07:
SV07 = (SV07 OR OUT101) AND (OUT102 OR OUT401)
Counter Variables
SELOGIC Counters are up- or down-counting elements, updated every processing
interval. Each counter element consists of one count setting, four control inputs,
two digital outputs, and one analog output. Figure 4.8 shows Counter 01, the first
of 32 counters available in the device.
