Pausing data acquisition
You can pause an acquisition from the Tune window or the MassLynx window.
To pause data acquisition
• In the Tune window, click .
• In the MassLynx window, click .
Alternative: Click Run > Pause.
To restart the acquisition, click the appropriate Pause button again.
To view data during an acquisition
View the data in the Tune window peak display.
See “The Tune window peak display” on page D-47.
Monitoring data acquisition
Viewing the status of an acquisition
The MassLynx window displays the acquisition status.
The run time is shown on the MS Status shortcut bar, which you open by
clicking .
The scan status, sample number, and scan number appears on the status bar
at the bottom of the window.
To view a scan-by-scan statistical report of the progress of an acquisition
In the Tune window, click Options > Scan Status. The Scan Report opens,
displaying the details of the scan.
Caution: Pausing during a GC data acquisition can disturb the
retention time data, because the GC ramp continues.
