7-72 Routine maintenance
To fit the thermocouple
1. Fit the thermocouple to the ion chamber, ensuring that it is correctly
orientated.
2. Use a 1-mm hexagonal wrench to fit the grub screw securing the
thermocouple to the ion chamber.
3. Ensure that the thermocouple leads are not touching the ion block.
Assembling the contact rail assemblies
To assemble the contact rails
1. Fit the insulator tube to the support rod.
Caution: To avoid damage, handle the thermocouple leads with great
care; they are very fragile.
