6. Fit a small ceramic spacer over 1 of the spacers projecting through the
bayonet support, and fit and tighten the securing screw.
7. Repeat step 6 for the other 3 ceramic spacers and securing screws.
To fit the ion exit plate to the ion block
1. Fit the ion exit plate to the ion block.
2. Fit and tighten the 4 screws securing the ion exit plate to the ion block.
Fitting the inner source chamber assembly to the source handle
To fit the chamber assembly to the source handle
1. Ensure that the source handle is in the vertical position.
Caution: To avoid re-contaminating the chamber assembly
components following cleaning, use clean, lint-free cotton gloves during
assembly.
Caution: Ensure that the chamber assembly is correctly orientated
with respect to the source handle bayonet connector, otherwise the
instrument will not function.
