To add an entry to the MRM function editor mass table
1. In the MRM function editor, click Add.
2. In the MRM Mass dialog box, enter the required parameters.
3. Click OK.
To edit an entry to the MRM function editor mass table
1. In the MRM function editor, click Change.
Alternative: For all but the first and last entries, you can double-click an
entry from the mass table to select it for editing.
2. In the MRM Mass dialog box, enter the required parameters.
3. Click OK.
Example of VSIR experiment set up
Introduction
Voltage selected ion recording (VSIR) is the most sensitive data acquisition
mode, used for trace analysis. You can monitor a specified number of masses
by setting the magnet’s field strength to a fixed value and changing the
accelerating voltage.
The sample being analyzed passes through a GC column, with its constituent
components eluting at different times, i.e., the GC column has a separating
effect on chemicals of differing structure. Hence, the VSIR acquisition is set
up according to these elution (retention) times.
