3-30 Scanning techniques
To edit an entry to the Voltage SIR Scan function editor mass table:
1. In the Voltage SIR Scan function editor, click Change.
Alternative: In the mass table, double-click on the mass to be edited.
2. In the SIR Mass dialog box, enter the required parameters.
3. Click OK.
The MRM function editor
To use the MRM function, the Hall probe on the instrument must be set up for
MRM operation by a qualified service engineer. Contact your local service
representative for assistance if you need to activate this functionality.
Use the MRM function editor to set up multiple reaction monitoring (MRM)
experiments, to monitor a number of MS/MS transitions (fragmentations).
This fragmentation occurs between the instrument’s source and ESA1. Each
fragment has a unique energy and momentum, and, by stepping the magnetic
and electric fields between certain values. You can monitor fragments from
specific reactions.
