To fit the sample cup to the probe tip
Use tweezers to fit the sample cup to the sample cup holder in the end of the
probe tip.
Tip: To ensure good thermal contact with the heater, fit the sample cup firmly
in the holder.
Warning: The probe components can be contaminated with toxic
materials. Wear nitrile gloves at all times while handling the
components.
Caution: To avoid contaminating the sample, after flame-cleaning,
keep the sample cup free of grease (for example, from laboratory
surfaces) and handle with tweezers.
Caution: When fitting the sample cup to the sample cup holder, ensure
that it is firmly held by the sample cup holder; if the sample cup is
loose, it can become dislodged when inserting the probe in the ion
source.
