Data File Name Specifies the name of the data file to be created in
this text box.
Text Provide a brief description of the sample. The
description can be displayed on any output of the
acquired data.
Origin Opens the Sample Origin dialog box. You can then
specify additional information about the sample in
the following fields:
• Submitter
•Job
•Task
• Conditions
Acquisition Function Specifies how data are collected (select one):
• Magnet scan
•Voltage scan
• B/E scan
•B
2
/E scan
•CNL scan
Note: If you select B/E scan, B
2
/E scan, or CNL scan,
the Linked Scanning Parameters options are
enabled.
Data Format Specifies the type of data (Centroid or Continuum)
to be collected and stored on disk.
Note: If B/E scan, B
2
/E scan, or CNL scan is
selected, only Continuum is available.
Scan per spectrum Displays the number of scans per spectrum display.
Low Mass (m/z) The mass at which the function starts.
High Mass (m/z) The mass at which the function stops.
Resolution The resolution, used to determine scanning
parameters.
Duration (mins) The length of the acquisition, in minutes.
Scan Time (s) The length of each scan, in seconds.
