Setting up the instrument
Click Options > Instrument Setup. In the Instrument Setup dialog box you
can configure these 4 tabs:
•Magnet.
• Limits.
•Y Focus.
• Slits.
The Instrument Setup dialog box’s Magnet tab
Use the Magnet tab to switch on or switch off the magnet and start the
Magnet Constant Utility.
Scan Report window displays :
Display Description
File The file currently storing data.
Function The function currently running.
Retention Time The length of time for which the function runs, in
minutes.
Scan Number The number of scans acquired for the current
function.
Ion Mode The current ion mode.
TIC The total intensity count of the acquired data.
BP Intensity The base peak intensity in digital-to-analog (DAC)
bits; 0 to 65535 is equivalent to 0 to 10 volts.
BP Mass The base peak mass, in Daltons.
