To set up an B/E Scan function
1. In the MS method editor, click .
Alternative: Click Functions > B/E Scan.
2. In the B/E Scan function editor, enter the required parameters.
Tip: Keep entering different Low Mass Product Ion (m/z) values until the
lowest required product mass peak appears in the Tune window peak
display. Alternatively, use the Linked Scanning Utility to calculate a
suggested value for Low Mass Product Ion (m/z).

3. Click OK.
Pre-Acquisition
Calibration File
Enter a pre-acquisition calibration file name and
path in the text box, or click Browse.
This file is used to calibrate the scan of ESA1 and
ESA2 performed by the B/E scan. You must create it
on standard Magnet Scan data, over exactly the
same magnet mass range and scan time as the B/E
scan.
