3-20 Scanning techniques
To set up an Neutral Loss Scan function:
1. In the MS method editor, click .
Alternative: Click Functions > CNL Scan.
2. In the Constant Neutral Loss Scan function editor, enter the required
parameters.
3. Click OK.
High Mass Precursor
Ion (m/z)
Displays the actual high mass of the returned data.
This is a function of the neutral fragment mass and
the magnet high mass.
Pre-Acquisition
Calibration File
Enter a pre-acquisition calibration file name and
path in the text box, or click Browse.
This file is used to calibrate the scan of ESA1 and
ESA2 performed by the CNL scan. You must create
this file on standard Magnet Scan data, over exactly
the same magnet mass range and scan time as the
CNL scan.
