Theory of Operation
Registration Assembly
Major Functions
Registration Sensor
The Registration Sensor detects that the leading edge of the print medium
has reached the registration section. No paper: sensor beam is blocked.
Registration Clutch
The Registration Clutch transmits the driving torque from the Main Drive
Assembly to the Registration Roller to feed the sheet from the Main Paper
Tray, or Bypass Tray, to the Fuser. See “Main Drive Assembly” on page 2-68.
