3. Change the Fuser Speed Adjustment setting.
• This feature can be used to correct the issue of a smear at 208 mm from the Lead Edge (LE).
Increase the fuser speed to correct the issue.
• This feature also impacts print quality.
– Increasing fuser speed extends the image. If fuser speed is set too high it may cause
paper jams.
– Decreasing fuser speed shrinks the image.
• The option can be found in PredictPrint Media Manager→Stock Library→Stock
Properties→Advanced Setup→Fuser Speed Adjustment.
• Increase fuser speed in increments of 0.5%. After every increment adjustment run test prints
and evaluate the output to determine if additional adjustment is necessary.

Problem
The printed output contains trail edge deletions.
Solutions
Change the Transfer Output Adjustment for Trail Edge setting.
• This feature is used to adjust the voltage ratio on the Secondary Bias Transfer Roll (BTR), where
the image is transferred from the belt to the paper.
• This feature can be found in PredictPrint Media Manager→Stock Library→Stock
Properties→Advanced Setup→Transfer Output Adjustment for Trail Edge.
• Decrease the Transfer Output Adjustment for Trail Edge in increments of 5 to 10%. After every
increment adjustment run test prints and evaluate the output to determine if additional
adjustment is necessary.
